Power That Persists
To fuel our democracy, we need tangible, community-based power.
Constare is a grassroots organizing training project that partners with progressive electoral campaigns to build organizing infrastructure that persists after Election Day, win or lose.
We believe that electoral campaigns are one of the few continued sources of activation for communities. Right now, electoral campaigns often approach organizing as instrumental, rather than fundamental.
Constare flips this on its head: We treat campaigns as entry-points to create lasting community organizing infrastructure by training campaign staff, community, and volunteers in values-based organizing.
Our Values
We believe that people-based organizing is how we both win electoral power and build the conditions for change.
We are a team of passionate and determined young progressive organizers dedicated to building political agency within communities.
We work with movement-oriented, progressive leaders to organize and empower their campaigns to pursue self-determination in their communities.
Power Is Relational
Power is a relationship between stakeholders, their resources, and their interests. That means power isn’t static—it can change by shifting resources and leveraging interests. Our communities can wield power because it doesn’t live in elected officials, billionaires, or corporations.
Organizing Is How We Shift Power
If power can be shifted, organizing is how we shift it. Organizing is how people turn the resources they have into the power they need to make the change they want.
Elected Officials Must Be Organizers Too
Elected officials aren’t just leaders by themselves—they should be organizers who hold the responsibility of enabling their constituency. Electeds have the opportunity to wield policy and organizing power simultaneously, so we need progressives in office ready to do both while fighting for democratic values.
Organizing Can't End On Election Day
Right now, electoral organizing is a game of doors knocked, texts sent, and calls made—and it ends on Election Day until the next cycle. Real infrastructure for change means organizing teams that exist in communities year round and can flex between electing new officials, running campaigns to pass policies, and base-building.
Leadership Isn't Just An Elected Office
Elected officials aren’t the only leaders in our communities. Leadership is a practice and an action, and it lives in everyday, working people who make their communities run. Volunteers, staff, and neighbors all have the capacity for leadership. That also means candidates don’t become leaders just by getting elected—they need to do the work of building power.
Our Team
We have an experienced team of trainers and organizers, who have trained 600+ students and worked on statewide and local electoral campaigns. Our team has trained organizers and students from Harvard to Stanford and from Birmingham, Alabama to Lansing, Michigan.

Chris Badillo
Chris Badillo is an organizer and trainer based in Atlanta, GA. He's taught organizing across non-profits and universities, and built programs supporting elected officials. He's also worked on local campaigns, including one that elected Miami's first formerly undocumented school board member. Through Constare, he works to empower progressives with the tools they need to shift power. Outside work, Chris enjoys Americana music, Puerto Rican coffee, and spending time with his dogs.
Zoe Tweedie
Zoe Tweedie is an organizer, trainer, and artist based in St. Petersburg, FL. She’s taught organizing and public narrative practices at Stanford and Harvard Universities. She works on storytelling with a wide range of people through non-profits like the ACLU. At Constare, she works to build relationships with other progressives who are ready to build power in their communities. Zoe loves to spend time with her family and friends, swim in the ocean, and bike.
Andrea Reyes
Andrea Reyes currently works on the Hill in Washington, D.C. for a Democratic Senator. In 2024, she worked on former Senator Sherrod Brown’s re-election campaign and in 2020, she was assistant campaign manager of a mayoral race in her hometown of Corpus Christi, TX. With Constare, Andrea hopes to contribute meaningfully to the upcoming election cycle, especially in races with lasting impacts for local communities. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys reading, yoga, and watching movies!
